Fitness
Move properly
Zumba, and Taekwondo taught by the same government-recognised belt-certified instructors who run our year-round programme — not a holiday demonstration.
Annual programme
Two weeks every May, tailor-made for young stars aged 3 to 12 — and open to every child in the city, not only our own. A certified course designed to find out what your child is good at, rather than to keep them occupied.
The idea
Most summer camps are childcare with a timetable. Ours is a two-week certified course built around a single question: what is this child actually good at, that nobody has noticed yet?
Every child takes part in all the activities, regardless of age group. A shy six-year-old who has never spoken in front of a room does elocution. A boy who has only ever played football does origami. The point is the discovery, and discovery only happens when a child tries something they would not have chosen.
It runs in the evening, 5.30 to 7.30, so it fits around family holidays and the heat of a Lucknow May. Children who don’t attend Banbury Cross are welcome — a good number of our admissions each year come from families who met us at camp first.

Be understood
Public speaking. Elocution and diction. Etiquette and manners. Learning Beyond Books. The skills that decide whether a bright child is heard.
Make things
Drawing, DIY craft, colouring and origami art — hands busy, screens away, something to take home at the end of every session.
Have a blast
Interactive music sessions, a pool party and a rain dance. Because it is May in Lucknow, and two weeks of pure instruction would be a waste of a childhood.
Where it happens
The camp runs on our 13,500 sq ft Mahanagar premises. Nothing is hired in for the fortnight.
Practical detail
Two weeks in May. Exact dates are announced each spring — call or email to be told first. Places are limited and the camp has filled before the dates were publicly advertised in past years.
Two age groups: 3 to 6 years, and 7 to 12 years. Open to children from any school in Lucknow. You do not need to be a Banbury Cross parent.
Evenings, 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm, on the Mahanagar campus.
The registration form is free. Collect it from the school office or ask us to send it. A place is confirmed on payment of the camp fee.
Every child completing the fortnight receives a certificate for the course.
Available on the school’s own vans at a nominal charge. Routes vary by area — ask when you call.
Register
Give us a call and we will put you on the list for next May. No deposit, no commitment — you simply hear before everyone else.
